The FSJ & District Chamber of Commerce welomed Kevin Willeboordse to our Board of Directors in July and we are excited to have him!
Kevin Willeboordse, born in Fort St John, B.C., and raised throughout BC, returned to Fort St John in 1997 at the age of 20. He entered the oil and gas industry in 1998, starting on service rigs and eventually progressed to the role of rig manager. In 2011, he transitioned to consulting and began overseeing various projects, including special project work in the Sukunka foothills, underbalanced drilling, and workovers.
Motivated by a need to make some changes and spend more time with his family, including his wife of over 20 years, while addressing growing concerns and stigmas surrounding the oil and gas industry in northern BC, Kevin embarked on a new venture. He created a podcast called Kevin Unscripted, aiming to learn more about various subjects and bring awareness to a wide range of topics.
Starting from scratch, Kevin dedicated himself to learning and refining the art of podcasting. His show has gained momentum and continues to attract a growing audience. Through conversations with guests from diverse backgrounds and professions, Kevin has been able to share a wide range of perspectives on numerous topics.
Following the pandemic, Kevin realized that a podcast alone wasn’t enough, and began exploring avenues to expand his engagement, taking the opportunity to join the Board of Directors of the Fort St John, BC Chamber of Commerce.

Chamber Champions are often the backbone of the Chamber. Their valued support throughout the year sets them apart as a Chamber supporter within the community. The Chamber shows its dedication to the local business community by representing their brands in different programs and projects that the Chamber supports. The Chamber acknowledges that the Champions support the work they do, and that the Champions value the advocacy and leadership demonstrated by the Chamber in the community. Champions are showcased on much of the Chamber’s marketing and often appear at our programs and events. Often our Chamber Champions are first in line when it comes to launching new projects that will have an impact in the community. It is their trust in the work we do that helps us continue to do the work we do for our membership and community. We thank our Chamber Champions for being our greatest supporters!
