About

Maple Education Inc. was conceived with a simple friendly question over the phone – “Can you help find a good Canadian school for my child?” As a relatively new Canadian immigrant in the late 1990s and the early 2000s, Ebibimo Obaro received quite a number of requests from friends in Nigeria to help place their kids in Canadian schools. What started out as a favour to friends soon took up practically all of her time. However, this development did not bother her in the least, because she felt a sense of satisfaction every time an application was successful and she received an admission letter. It was only a matter of time before she turned this new-found hobby into a full time business. Ebi returned to Nigeria in 2003 to incorporate Maple Education Canada. By 2004, she became one of the first members of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) and the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC).For the most part, Maple Education Canada focused on placing Nigerian students in different schools across Canada. Maple also began processing temporary visas for parents who wished to accompany their children to Canada, and processing Permanent Residence status for others who wished to make Canada their home. With its headquarters in Fort St John, northeastern British Columbia and branches in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt, Maple Education Canada Inc. is now the largest provider of Canadian immigration advice in Nigeria.
